Our Organization

Bev Gibson began in 1982 by helping to establish the dental arm of Crossover Ministry. In 1983, Bev joined Youth with a Mission/Mercy Ships to serve on board the Anastasis providing healthcare to the poor. Since then she has served in over 150 different countries with various relief organizations, her church West End Assembly of God and Vessels of Mercy International. She has given more than 35 years of service to the underserved, unreached, and the under-resourced….” to the least of these.” around the world.  In 1992, Vessels of Mercy International, Inc. was founded by Bev Gibson, and now Vessels of Mercy International serves in over 15 countries bringing hope and healing. Bev continues to serve on behalf of the underserved and under-resourced in some of the worlds poorest countries and people groups. Bev is just as passionate about serving those in need in her local community as she is to those around the world. Bev serves on various charitable non-profit board of directors and also serves as a consultant for many grass-roots organizations. She is a licensed ordained minister and serves as a chaplain on the Rapid Response Team for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. She is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management, Disaster Emergency Response Training, and Basic Disaster Life Support. She is a member of the Critical Incident Stress Management Foundation. She has extensive training in both the medical and dental fields, disaster relief and international development. She also serves on several local and international coalitions against human trafficking and slavery.  She has completed the US Dept. of State Human Trafficking Awareness Training and is also an ambassador for Women’s Health. She serves on the Christian Counseling & Training Center’s Ministry Council. She champions the causes of the poor and those treated unjustly with the belief that Hope Changes Everything and that “Hope” is found only in Jesus Christ!

One of Bev’s favorite quotes is “Start by doing what’s necessary, then what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” –Francis of Assisi

Bev adds to that by saying, “and we know that when we place God first in all of this, NOTHING is impossible!”

He has shown you, O man, what is good.  And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.  Micah 6:8
