Inner City of Richmond Partnerships

Since 2009 we joined in partnership with Faith Covenant Christian Fellowship located in the inner city of Richmond to reach out to our local community, we’ve provided food, clothes, and household items. In 2010 we started Youth Advocacy Recreational and Sports activities days as a means of reaching the at-risk children & youth of this community.  We provide support for the Summer Program and will hold Vacation Bible school this summer. We monthly provide “Cookies” as a strategic tool and key that opens doors to the Inner City projects of Gilpin, Mosby, Fairfield, Whitcomb, and Creighton Court to build relationships and show the practical love of Jesus Christ.  In 2011 we were able to provide the church and advocacy center with a new roof.  In 2012 we continued all of our regular activities, but we also had a group on their Spring Break from Christopher Newport University that helped us renovate, paint, clean the activity center and kitchen.  In 2013 we hosted a Christmas celebration for the children and in 2014 we continue to reach out through Friday night activities for the children and youth and through our monthly support of the “Cookie Ministry”.  We assist with the Christmas outreach every year providing food boxes, and stockings.

We’re committed to seeing our city change and so we continue to work in partnership to be a light on the hill!
