Going Beyond the Barriers

January, 2014

Dear Friend,

Let’s “Go Beyond the Barriers” for the sake of the gospel — whether it’s a barrier, border, boundary, fence, wall, a culture, a fear, our own comfort zone, the unreached, the unknown, a world in turmoil — all those things that we see as a barrier. We are called to Go Beyond those barriers so that all may hear and experience the good news of Jesus Christ.

Going Beyond has been a long-term focus of Vessels of Mercy International, but we are focusing on this theme this year as we feel He continues to call us to hard-to-reach people and places. He continues to call us to go beyond by reaching the unreached, the hard places … by going beyond the limitations we place on ourselves to take that one step outside our comfort zone into a new place with Him.

We are committed to sharing the uncompromising truths of His Word. Our desire is not only to know that all hear and understand His Word but for all to experience the practical love of Jesus Christ.

You may ask how do we go about bringing positive change to a world in so much turmoil? That is a good question….

At Vessels of Mercy International, we believe that each individual is unique and God inspired. He has equipped each of us. So, with that in mind, we provide opportunities for you to GO.
We want to inspire others to get involved by using their skills and talents in showing the world His love and by reaching the world until every person on the planet has heard the name of Jesus. We do this through the various projects listed in this booklet. The gospel…the Hope found only in Jesus Christ changes everything. So be bold and take a step out of your comfort zone, extend, stretch out, reach out and join us on this journey of Going Beyond and see where He will take you this year.
